Description
mAb 77 effectively neutralizes MeV infection in vitro and significantly reduces viral replication and loads in vivo in the cotton rat model. Mechanistic assays revealed that mAb 77 prevents the completion of membrane fusion, but does so without inhibiting F protein activation, fusion initiation, or the formation of the extended intermediate.
