背景	Folate receptor alpha (FOLR1) is a ~29 kDa protein. Binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. Has high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH. Exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis triggers a conformation change that strongly reduces its affinity for folates and mediates their release. Required for normal embryonic development and normal cell proliferation. FOLR1 is the therapeutic target of mirvetuximab soravtansine (Elahere). 1. Zhao, R. et al. Flow CytoMetry

Flow-cytometry using APC anti-human FOLR1 antibody. Hela cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an APC anti-human FOLR1 monoclonal antibody (Catalog: HB825137, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
