Glutathione reductase, mitochondrial (GSR) is a ~56 kDa protein. Catalyzes the reduction of glutathione disulfide (GSSG) to reduced glutathione (GSH). Constitutes the major mechanism to maintain a high GSH:GSSG ratio in the cytosol.
