| Fondo | Interleukin-33 (IL33) is a ~30 kDa protein. Cytokine that binds to and signals through the IL1RL1/ST2 receptor which in turn activates NF-kappa-B and MAPK signaling pathways in target cells. Involved in the maturation of Th2 cells inducing the secretion of T-helper type 2-associated cytokines. Also involved in activation of mast cells, basophils, eosinophils and natural killer cells. Acts as an enhancer of polarization of alternatively activated macrophages. Acts as a chemoattractant for Th2 cells, and may function as an 'alarmin', that amplifies immune responses during tissue injury. 1. Schmitz, J. et al. (2005) Immunity 23, 479-90. PMID: 16286016 2. Flow-cytometry using anti-human IL33 antibody.Human Jurkat cell line were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human IL33 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HF543107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 ug/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.

Flow-cytometry using anti-human IL33 antibody.HUVEC cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human IL33 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HF543107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 ug/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.

Flow-cytometry using anti-human IL33 antibody.Human peripheral blood lymphocytes were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human IL33 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HF543107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 ug/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
