| Фон | Non-structural protein ORF4a is a ~12 kDa protein. DsRNA-binding protein that plays a role in the inhibition of host innate response. Suppresses host PACT-induced activation of RIGI and MDA5 and thereby circumvents the production of type I interferons. Also prevents the activation of host NF-kappa-B. Inhibits the integrated stress response (ISR) in the infected cell by binding to dsRNA and inhibiting EIF2AK2-mediated phosphorylation of EIF2S1/eIF2-alpha. Stress granule formation is thus inhibited, which allows protein synthesis and viral replication. 1. Niemeyer, D. et al. (2013) Journal of virology 87, 12489-95. PMID: 24027320 2. Yang, Y. et al.
