Contexte

Bone marrow proteoglycan (PRG2/MBP) is a ~24 kDa protein. Cytotoxin and helminthotoxin. MBP also induces non-cytolytic histamine release from basophils. It is involved in antiparasitic defense mechanisms and immune hypersensitivity reactions.
