Insulin-regulated facilitative hexose transporter that mediates the transport of glucose and fructose. Facilitates hepatic influx of dietary trehalose, which in turn inhibits glucose and fructose influx triggering a starvation signal and hepatic autophagy through activation of AMPK and ULK1.
