Contexte	T-cell surface antigen CD2 (LFA-2/OX-34) is a ~39 kDa protein. CD2 interacts with lymphocyte function-associated antigen CD58 (LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T-cells and other cell types. CD2 is implicated in the triggering of T-cells, the cytoplasmic domain is implicated in the signaling function.

Bioactivity

Detects CD2 in indirect ELISAs.
Flow Cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD2 antibody. Human Jurkat cell line were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Green Histogram) or an anti-human CD2 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HY113107 , Red Histogram) at a concentration of 20 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a CoraLite488 conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690314) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
Western blot

Western blot analysis was performed using anti-CD2 monoclonal antibody at 1ug/mL on various samples.
