| Background | C-X-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CD182/CXCR2) is a ~40 kDa protein. Receptor for interleukin-8 which is a powerful neutrophil chemotactic factor. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Binds to IL-8 with high affinity. Also binds with high affinity to CXCL3, GRO/MGSA and NAP-2. 1. Murphy, PM. et al. (1991) Science (New York, N.Y.) 253, 1280-3. PMID: 1891716 2. Damaj, BB. et al. SEC-HPLC detection for Anti-Human CD182/CXCR2 Antibody (3H9).

Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD182 antibody. U937 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD182 monoclonal antibody (Catalog: HB243107, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a a Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L Polyclonal Antibody, FITC (abinScience: MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
