FAQs

What is the difference between sandwich and competitive ELISA?

Sandwich requires two non-overlapping epitopes and offers high sensitivity; competitive fits small molecules or single-epitope contexts and yields inverse signals.

How do LoD and LoQ differ?

LoD is the lowest detectable concentration; LoQ is the lowest quantifiable concentration meeting accuracy/precision criteria. Refer to the lot-specific CoA.

How is Inhibition% calculated for sVNT?

Inhibition% = [1 − (ODsample/ODnegative control)] × 100. Serial dilutions allow IC50/ID50 calculation.

Should I use 4PL or 5PL curve fitting?

Use 4PL by default; apply 5PL for asymmetric curves or tailing and verify residuals.
