| Background | Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide type I receptor (ADCYAP1R1) is a ~53 kDa protein. G protein-coupled receptor activated by the neuropeptide pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (ADCYAP1/PACAP). Binds both PACAP27 and PACAP38 bioactive peptides. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of downstream effectors. Activates cAMP-dependent pathway. May regulate the release of adrenocorticotropin, luteinizing hormone, growth hormone, prolactin, epinephrine, and catecholamine. 1. Wang, J. et al. Flow-cytometry using anti-human ADCYAD1R1 antibody. Human SH-SY5Y cell line were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Green Histogram) or an anti-human ADCYAD1R1 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HW609107 , Red Histogram) at a concentration of 20 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-human antibody (Catalog # HF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
