FAQs

Neutralizing vs. binding antibodies—what’s the difference?

Neutralizing antibodies block infection (entry/fusion) and show activity in PRNT/pseudovirus assays, while binding antibodies recognize the antigen without necessarily blocking infection.

PRNT vs. pseudovirus vs. sVNT—how should I choose?

PRNT is the classical infectious-virus gold standard; pseudovirus offers BSL-2 functional readouts; sVNT screens receptor blocking on plates. Choose per biosafety, throughput and MoA.

How do I interpret IC50/ID50 values?

Lower IC50/ID50 indicates stronger neutralization under stated conditions; compare only across matched cell lines, MOI, and incubation protocols.
