Background

Interleukin-23 receptor (IL23R) is a ~73 kDa protein. Associates with IL12RB1 to form the interleukin-23 receptor. Binds IL23 and mediates T-cells, NK cells and possibly certain macrophage/myeloid cells stimulation probably through activation of the Jak-Stat signaling cascade. IL23 functions in innate and adaptive immunity and may participate in acute response to infection in peripheral tissues. IL23 may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and be important for tumorigenesis.

    Flow cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-human IL-23R antibody. HEK293 Transtected cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human IL-23R monoclonal antibody (Catalog HV464043, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a a Goat Anti-Human IgG H&L Polyclonal Antibody, FITC (abinScience: HF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
