Background	Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (CD326/EPCAM) is a ~34 kDa protein. May act as a physical homophilic interaction molecule between intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) and intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) at the mucosal epithelium for providing immunological barrier as a first line of defense against mucosal infection. Plays a role in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation. Up-regulates the expression of FABP5, MYC and cyclins A and E.

Detects recombinant human CD326/EPCAM (Catalog No: HB104011) in indirect ELISA
Flow cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD326 antibody. HT29 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD326 monoclonal antibody (Catalog HB104307, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L Polyclonal Antibody, FITC (abinScience: MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
