| Background | Epithelial discoidin domain-containing receptor 1 (CD167a/DDR1) is a ~101 kDa protein. Tyrosine kinase that functions as a cell surface receptor for fibrillar collagen and regulates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix, remodeling of the extracellular matrix, cell migration, differentiation, survival and cell proliferation. Collagen binding triggers a signaling pathway that involves SRC and leads to the activation of MAP kinases. Regulates remodeling of the extracellular matrix by up-regulation of the matrix metalloproteinases MMP2, MMP7 and MMP9, and thereby facilitates cell migration and wound healing. Required for normal blastocyst implantation during pregnancy, for normal mammary gland differentiation and normal lactation. Required for normal ear morphology and normal hearing. |

Detects CD167a/DDR1 in indirect ELISAs.

Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD167a antibody.CD167a Transfected CHO cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD167a antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HC282307 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
