Reconstitution Reconstitute in sterile water for a stock solution. A copy of datasheet will be provided with the products, please refer to it for details.
Shipping In general, proteins are provided as lyophilized powder/frozen liquid. They are shipped out with dry ice/blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate NamesADH water channel, AQP-2, AQP-CD, AQP2, Aquaporin-2, Aquaporin-CD, Collecting duct water channel protein, WCH-CD, Water channel protein for renal collecting duct
Background

Aquaporin-2 is a ~28 kDa protein. Forms a water-specific channel that provides the plasma membranes of renal collecting duct with high permeability to water, thereby permitting water to move in the direction of an osmotic gradient. Plays an essential role in renal water homeostasis. Could also be permeable to glycerol.
