Background

Interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-2 (CD213a2/IL13RA2) is a ~44 kDa protein. Cell surface receptor that plays a role in the regulation of IL-13-mediated responses. Functions as a decoy receptor that inhibits IL-13- and IL-4-mediated signal transduction via the JAK-STAT pathway and thereby modulates immune responses and inflammation. Serves as a functional signaling receptor for IL-13 in an alternative pathway involving AP-1 ultimately leading to the production of TGFB1.

    Flow Cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD213a2 antibody.A375 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD213a2 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HC579107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
