| Background | ATP-dependent translocase ABCB1 (CD243) is a ~141 kDa protein. Translocates drugs and phospholipids across the membrane. Catalyzes the flop of phospholipids from the cytoplasmic to the exoplasmic leaflet of the apical membrane. Participates mainly to the flop of phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, beta-D-glucosylceramides and sphingomyelins. Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD243 antibody.RPMI-8226 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD243 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HY466207 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
