Background

Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (CD309/VEGFR-2) is a ~151 kDa protein. Tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for VEGFA, VEGFC and VEGFD. Plays an essential role in the regulation of angiogenesis, vascular development, vascular permeability, and embryonic hematopoiesis. Promotes proliferation, survival, migration and differentiation of endothelial cells. Promotes reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton. Isoforms lacking a transmembrane domain, such as isoform 2 and isoform 3, may function as decoy receptors for VEGFA, VEGFC and/or VEGFD. CD309 is the therapeutic target of ramucirumab (Cyramza).

    Flow Cytometry

    Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD309 antibody.CD309 Transfected CHO cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD309 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HW338107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
