Background

Integrin alpha-1 (CD49a/ITGA1) is a ~130 kDa protein. Integrin alpha-1/beta-1 is a receptor for laminin and collagen. It recognizes the proline-hydroxylated sequence G-F-P-G-E-R in collagen. Involved in anchorage-dependent, negative regulation of EGF-stimulated cell growth.

    Flow Cytometry

    Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD49a antibody.HeLa cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD49a antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HX227107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
