Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate NamesD-2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial, 1.1.99.39, D2HGDH, D2HGD
Background

D-2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (D2HGDH) is a ~56 kDa protein. Catalyzes the oxidation of D-2-hydroxyglutarate (D-2-HG) to alpha-ketoglutarate. Also catalyzes the oxidation of other D-2-hydroxyacids, such as D-malate (D-MAL) and D-lactate (D-LAC). Exhibits high activities towards D-2-HG and D-MAL but a very weak activity towards D-LAC.
