Background

Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase O (PTPRO) is a ~138 kDa protein. Possesses tyrosine phosphatase activity. Plays a role in regulating the glomerular pressure/filtration rate relationship through an effect on podocyte structure and function.
