Background

Urokinase plasminogen activator surface receptor (PLAUR) is a ~35 kDa protein. Acts as a receptor for urokinase plasminogen activator. Plays a role in localizing and promoting plasmin formation. Mediates the proteolysis-independent signal transduction activation effects of U-PA.
