| Background | Extracellular sulfatase Sulf-2 (SULF2) is a ~100 kDa protein. Exhibits arylsulfatase activity and highly specific endoglucosamine-6-sulfatase activity. It can remove sulfate from the C-6 position of glucosamine within specific subregions of intact heparin. 1. Morimoto-Tomita, M. et al. (2002) The Journal of biological chemistry 277, 49175-85.
