Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate NamesBifunctional epoxide hydrolase 2, CEH, Cytosolic epoxide hydrolase 2, EC:3.1.3.76, EC:3.3.2.10, EPHX2, Epoxide hydratase, Lipid-phosphate phosphatase, SEH, Soluble epoxide hydrolase
Background

Bifunctional epoxide hydrolase 2 is a ~62 kDa protein. Bifunctional enzyme. The C-terminal domain has epoxide hydrolase activity and acts on epoxides (alkene oxides, oxiranes) and arene oxides. Plays a role in xenobiotic metabolism by degrading potentially toxic epoxides. Also determines steady-state levels of physiological mediators.
