Shipping In general, proteins are provided as lyophilized powder/frozen liquid. They are shipped out with dry ice/blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate NamesEC:3.1.3.9, G-6-Pase, G6PC, G6PC1, G6PT, G6Pase, G6Pase-alpha, Glucose-6-phosphatase, Glucose-6-phosphatase alpha, Glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 1
Background

Glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 1 is a ~40 kDa protein. Hydrolyzes glucose-6-phosphate to glucose in the endoplasmic reticulum. Forms with the glucose-6-phosphate transporter (SLC37A4/G6PT) the complex responsible for glucose production in the terminal step of glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis. Hence, it is the key enzyme in homeostatic regulation of blood glucose levels.
