Shipping In general, proteins are provided as lyophilized powder/frozen liquid. They are shipped out with dry ice/blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate NamesITSN, ITSN1, Intersectin-1, SH3 domain-containing protein 1A, SH3D1A, SH3P17
Background

Intersectin-1 is a ~195 kDa protein. Adapter protein that provides a link between the endocytic membrane traffic and the actin assembly machinery. Acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for CDC42, and thereby stimulates actin nucleation mediated by WASL and the ARP2/3 complex. Plays a role in the assembly and maturation of clathrin-coated vesicles. Recruits FCHSD2 to clathrin-coated pits. Involved in endocytosis of activated EGFR, and probably also other growth factor receptors.
