Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate Names39S ribosomal protein L12, mitochondrial, 5c5-2, L12mt, Large ribosomal subunit protein bL12m, Large ribosomal subunit protein bL12m, long mature form, Large ribosomal subunit protein bL12m, short mature form, MRP-L12, MRPL12, MRPL7, RPML12
Background

Large ribosomal subunit protein bL12m is a ~21 kDa protein. As a component of the mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit, plays a role in mitochondrial translation. When present in mitochondria as a free protein not associated with the ribosome, associates with mitochondrial RNA polymerase POLRMT to activate transcription. Required for POLRMT stability.
