| Background | Odorant-binding protein 2a is a ~19 kDa protein. Involved in the regulation of systematic glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitivity. Involved in the regulation of liver lipid levels by positive regulation of hepatic lipogenesis and negative regulation of fatty acid beta-oxidation; via downstream transcriptional regulation of CPT1A and hepatic lipogenic program gene expression.
