Biological activity NAV006 (0.78-100 nM) specifically binds to CD20-positive Ramos cells in a dose-dependent manner (K d =30.5 nM) [1]. NAV006 is able to mediate a\r\nmore robust Fc receptor‑dependent cytotoxic activity (ADCC)\r\nagainst Daudi target cells in the presence of the immunosuppressive\r\nCA125 compared with parent Rituximab () [1]. NAV006 (1 mg/kg; i.p.) mediates antitumor activity in NCG mice with human lymphoma Raji cells (with a tumor growth inhibition of 95%) [2].

Background

B-lymphocyte antigen CD20 (MS4A1) is a ~33 kDa protein. B-lymphocyte-specific membrane protein that plays a role in the regulation of cellular calcium influx necessary for the development, differentiation, and activation of B-lymphocytes. Functions as a store-operated calcium (SOC) channel component promoting calcium influx after activation by the B-cell receptor/BCR. CD20 is the therapeutic target of rituximab (MabThera) and obinutuzumab (Gazyva).
