| Background | B-lymphocyte antigen CD20 (MS4A1) is a ~33 kDa protein. B-lymphocyte-specific membrane protein that plays a role in the regulation of cellular calcium influx necessary for the development, differentiation, and activation of B-lymphocytes. Functions as a store-operated calcium (SOC) channel component promoting calcium influx after activation by the B-cell receptor/BCR. CD20 is the therapeutic target of rituximab (MabThera) and obinutuzumab (Gazyva). 1. Li, H. et al. (2003) The Journal of biological chemistry 278, 42427-34. PMID: 12920111 2. Tedder, TF. et al.
