MP-RM-1 (10 ug/mL) significantly inhibits the colony-forming ability of IR-8 melanoma cells [1]. MP-RM-1 (20 mg/kg; i.p.; twice weekly) significantly inhibits the growth of ErbB-3 melanoma xenografts in nude mice, and reduces ErbB-3 expression and Akt phosphorylation levels in tumor tissues [1]. MP-RM-1 (20 mg/kg; i.p.; twice weekly) significantly inhibits the growth of DU-145 prostate cancer xenografts in nude mice [1]. |

| Background | Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3 (ERBB3/HER3) is a ~148 kDa protein. Tyrosine-protein kinase that plays an essential role as cell surface receptor for neuregulins. Binds to neuregulin-1 (NRG1) and is activated by it; ligand-binding increases phosphorylation on tyrosine residues and promotes its association with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. May also be activated by CSPG5. Involved in the regulation of myeloid cell differentiation. 1. Ieguchi, K. et al. (2010) The Journal of biological chemistry 285, 31388-98. PMID: 20682778 2. Detects recombinant human ERBB3/Her3 (Cat No.: HB116011) in indirect ELISA.

SDS-PAGE for Research Grade Anti-Human ERBB3/HER3 (MP-RM-1).

Flow-cytometry using anti-human ERBB3 antibody. Untransfected cells (blue Histogram) and Transfected cells (Yellow Histogram) were stained with an anti-human ERBB3 monoclonal antibody (Catalog: HB116116) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a Goat Anti-Human IgG H&L Polyclonal Antibody, FITC (abinScience: HF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
