| Background | B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain (CD79B) is a ~26 kDa protein. Required in cooperation with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR) which leads to internalization of the complex, trafficking to late endosomes and antigen presentation. Enhances phosphorylation of CD79A, possibly by recruiting kinases which phosphorylate CD79A or by recruiting proteins which bind to CD79A and protect it from dephosphorylation. CD79B is the therapeutic target of polatuzumab vedotin (Polivy). |
| Note | For research use only. Not suitable for clinical or therapeutic use. |

Lane 1: recombinant human CD79β/CD79B (Catalog No: HW431011)

Flow-cytometry using APC anti-human CD79B antibody. Daudi cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an APC anti-human CD79B monoclonal antibody (Catalog HW431026, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.

Flow-cytometry using PE anti-human CD79B antibody. Daudi cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an PE anti-human CD79B monoclonal antibody (Catalog HW431026, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
