Classical swine fever (CSF) is a highly contagious viral disease caused by CSFV, a pestivirus in the family Flaviviridae. The virus affects domestic and wild pigs globally, with significant economic impact. CSFV encodes three structural proteins—E1 and E2 envelope glycoproteins, and capsid protein C—plus several non-structural proteins (NS5A, NS5B, NS4, p7) essential for viral replication. E1 and E2 are primary vaccine targets; NS proteins serve as diagnostic markers and antiviral research targets.

Serological Diagnosis
