Research-grade reagents for Chandipura virus (CHPV) research — a negative-sense, single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the genus Vesiculovirus within the family Rhabdoviridae. First isolated in 1965 from sand flies in the Chandipura region of India, CHPV remains endemic to South Asia and Central Africa, causing acute encephalitis outbreaks with 40–70% mortality in pediatric populations. Our portfolio includes polyclonal antibodies against all four major structural proteins (G, M, N, P), His-tagged and Fc-tagged recombinant antigens for viral entry mechanism studies, and comprehensive applications for ELISA, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry. CHPV's glycoprotein (G) mediates viral attachment and cell entry; matrix protein (M) organizes virion architecture; nucleoprotein (N) encapsidates viral RNA; and phosphoprotein (P) is essential for RNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity. Validated immunological tools targeting these structural proteins are critical for understanding infection mechanisms, immune responses, and vaccine development. RUO
