| Background | Semaphorin-4D (CD100/SEMA4D) is a ~96 kDa protein. Cell surface receptor for PLXNB1 and PLXNB2 that plays an important role in cell-cell signaling. Regulates GABAergic synapse development. Promotes the development of inhibitory synapses in a PLXNB1-dependent manner. Modulates the complexity and arborization of developing neurites in hippocampal neurons by activating PLXNB1 and interaction with PLXNB1 mediates activation of RHOA. Promotes the migration of cerebellar granule cells. 1. Janssen, BJ. et al. (2010) Nature 467, 1118-22. PMID: 20877282 2. Vodrazka, P. et al. (2009) The European journal of neuroscience 30, 1193-208. Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD100 antibody.CD100 Transfected CHO cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD100 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HV563207 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
