| Background | Interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha (CD125/IL5RA) is a ~47 kDa protein. Cell surface receptor that plays an important role in the survival, differentiation, and chemotaxis of eosinophils. Acts by forming a heterodimeric receptor with CSF2RB subunit and subsequently binding to interleukin-5. In unstimulated conditions, interacts constitutively with JAK2. Heterodimeric receptor activation leads to JAK2 stimulation and subsequent activation of the JAK-STAT pathway. 1. Monahan, J. et al. (1997) Journal of immunology (Baltimore, Md. : 1950) 159, 4024-34. Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD125 antibody.CD125 Transfected CHO cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD125 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HX243107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
