Background

CCN family member 2 (CTGF/CCN2) is a ~38 kDa protein. Major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. Promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes. Is involved in the stimulation of osteoblast differentiation and has a critical role in osteogenesis. Mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis.

    Flow Cytometry

    Flow-cytometry using anti-human CTGF antibody.CTGF Transfected CHO cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CTGF antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HB719107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
