Background

Guanylyl cyclase C (GUCY2C/GCC) is a ~123 kDa protein. Guanylyl cyclase that catalyzes synthesis of cyclic GMP (cGMP) from GTP. Receptor for the E.coli heat-stable enterotoxin; E.coli enterotoxin markedly stimulates the accumulation of cGMP in mammalian cells expressing GUCY2C. Also activated by the endogenous peptides guanylin and uroguanylin.

    Flow cytometry

Flow cytometry analysis was performed using anti-human GUCY2C monoclonal antibody. CHO cells transiently transfected with human GUCY2C plasmids were incubated with an irrelevant antibody (blue histogram) or FITC-conjugated anti-human GUCY2C monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HB626117, green histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/mL for 30 min at room temperature. After washing, cells were directly analyzed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
