Background

Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) is a ~80 kDa protein. Matrix metalloproteinase that plays an essential role in local proteolysis of the extracellular matrix and in leukocyte migration. Could play a role in bone osteoclastic resorption. Cleaves KiSS1 at a Gly-|-Leu bond. Cleaves NINJ1 to generate the Secreted ninjurin-1 form. Cleaves type IV and type V collagen into large C-terminal three quarter fragments and shorter N-terminal one quarter fragments.

Flow Cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-mouse MMP9 antibody.MMP9 Transfected CHO cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-mouse MMP9 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # MB945023 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
