| Background | Cell adhesion molecule CEACAM8 (CD66b) is a ~38 kDa protein. Cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell adhesion in a calcium-independent manner. Mediates heterophilic cell adhesion with other carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecules, such as CEACAM6. Heterophilic interaction with CEACAM8 occurs in activated neutrophils. 1. Untransfected cells (blue Histogram) and Transfected cells (Yellow Histogram) were stained with an anti-human CD66b monoclonal antibody at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
