| Background | Endoplasmic reticulum resident protein 44 is a ~46 kDa protein. Mediates thiol-dependent retention in the early secretory pathway, forming mixed disulfides with substrate proteins through its conserved CRFS motif. Inhibits the calcium channel activity of ITPR1.
