Shipping In general, proteins are provided as lyophilized powder/frozen liquid. They are shipped out with dry ice/blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Stability and Storage Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Alternate NamesBeta-MPP, EC:3.4.24.64, MPPB, Mitochondrial-processing peptidase subunit beta, P-52, PMPCB
Background

Mitochondrial-processing peptidase subunit beta is a ~54 kDa protein. Catalytic subunit of the essential mitochondrial processing protease (MPP), which cleaves the mitochondrial sequence off newly imported precursors proteins (Probable). Preferentially, cleaves after an arginine at position P2. Required for PINK1 turnover by coupling PINK1 mitochondrial import and cleavage, which results in subsequent PINK1 proteolysis.
