Sus scrofa (Pig) Research Reagents

Browse Sus scrofa (Domestic Pig) antibodies and recombinant proteins — species-validated reagents for translational medicine, xenotransplantation, and preclinical research. The domestic pig genome (~2.7 Gb, ~21,600 protein-coding genes) shares extensive physiological, anatomical, and immunological homology with humans, making porcine models uniquely predictive for clinical translation where rodent models fall short. Organ size, cardiovascular anatomy, gastrointestinal physiology, and skin structure closely parallel human counterparts, enabling surgical interventions, implantation studies, and device testing at clinically relevant scales. Porcine immune responses — including T-cell subset distribution, cytokine signaling networks, and MHC (SLA) architecture — more closely model human immunology than rodent systems. Our reagents support research across xenotransplantation and graft tolerance (pig-to-human organ transplantation, PERV safety, α-Gal knockout models), cardiovascular and regenerative medicine (heart failure, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, decellularized organ scaffolds), vaccine and immunogenicity testing (swine influenza, PRRS, ASF, PCV, human vaccine preclinical efficacy), neuroscience and spinal cord injury, tissue engineering, and porcine infectious disease surveillance. Species-Specific Validation Antibodies validated with confirmed reactivity to porcine targets using species-appropriate positive controls from porcine PBMCs, tissue lysates, and serum samples.
Broad Target Coverage Porcine immune markers (CD3, CD4, CD8, CD16, CD25, SLA-I/II), cytokines (porcine IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-α, IFN-γ), immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA, IgM), tissue-specific markers, and infectious disease antigens (PRRSV, ASFV, PCV2).
Cross-Reactivity Data Detailed species cross-reactivity information provided on every product datasheet. Many porcine reagents show validated cross-reactivity with human targets, enabling side-by-side comparative and translational studies.
Multiple Applications Validated for WB, IHC, IF, ELISA, and FC across xenotransplantation immunophenotyping, preclinical pharmacology, veterinary diagnostics, and comparative immunology workflows.
Original Manufacturer In-house production under ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 quality systems — reliable supply, consistent lot-to-lot performance, and lot-specific CoA and validation data on every product page.

FAQs

How are your antibodies validated?

Every antibody is validated in its listed applications (WB, IHC, IF, ELISA, FC) with supporting images and data on the product page. We use positive and negative controls plus knockout/knockdown verification where available.

Do you offer conjugated antibodies?

Yes — HRP, AP, biotin, FITC, PE, APC, Alexa Fluor, and other fluorochrome conjugates are available. Custom conjugation services are also offered for bulk orders.

What species do your antibodies react with?

Most antibodies target human, mouse, and rat. Many show validated cross-reactivity with additional species including pig. Check the product datasheet for confirmed reactivity data.

What is your replacement policy?

If a product does not perform as described under recommended conditions, contact us within 30 days for replacement or credit. Our technical team will help troubleshoot first.

Can I get custom antibodies?

Yes — our parent company AtaGenix offers full custom antibody development from immunogen design through hybridoma screening and scale-up production.

All products manufactured by AtaGenix Laboratories under ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 quality systems.
