Background

Fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) is a ~24 kDa protein. Involved in the suppression of bile acid biosynthesis through down-regulation of CYP7A1 expression, following positive regulation of the JNK and ERK1/2 cascades. Stimulates glucose uptake in adipocytes. Activity requires the presence of KLB and FGFR4.

Flow Cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-human FGF19 antibody.HT-29 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human FGF19 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HF862013 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-human antibody (Catalog # HF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
