| Background | Vasoactive intestinal polypeptide receptor 1 (VIPR1/VPAC1) is a ~51 kDa protein. G protein-coupled receptor activated by the neuropeptides vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) and pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (ADCYAP1/PACAP). Binds VIP and both PACAP27 and PACAP38 bioactive peptides with the following order of ligand affinity VIP = PACAP27 > PACAP38. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of downstream effectors. Activates cAMP-dependent pathway. 1. Xu, Y. et al. (2022) Nature communications 13, 2272. PMID: 35477937 2. Piper, SJ. et al. (2022) Nature communications 13, 7013. PMID: 36385145 3. | Note | For research use only. This stable cell line expresses GFP as a reporter marker. GFP is expressed independently of the target protein and is not fused to the target protein. |

Untransfected cells (blue Histogram) and Transfected cells (Yellow Histogram) were stained with an anti-human VIPR1 monoclonal antibody at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
